DUI Halloween Tampa, Hillsborough County Florida

title="DUI
Tampa Bay DUI law enforcement predicts many DUI arrests, perhaps a record this holiday season starting with Halloween. Halloween falls Saturday , a first since 1998. Bars are open an extra hour since daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday. People will get an extra hour until closing time. Those 2 factors equal increased opportunities for Driving Under the Influence charges. Other jurisdictions in Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, and Pasco counties can expect the same.

Our office will be working throughout the weekend to help.

Intoxilyzer 8000 - Florida Breath Results Dumped

Intoxilyzer 8000 - Tampa Florida DUI Attorney

Tampa Florida DUI Attorney notes that the (FDLE) Florida Department of Law Enforcement fired an inspector in charge of the I-8000 intoxilyzers used in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties for turning off power to three machines when they would fail inspection. As a result the breath results are inadmissible as evidence. This is legally significant, since the machines would have automatically uploaded the failures to the FDLE computers in Tallahassee, Florida, where they would have become public records.

We have written other articles about the use of these machines in Florida. Those are available here.

If you need some help with the Intoxilyzer 8000 results in your case, call me.

In the same traffic stop, another Deputy made a false report. The internal affairs investigation says that cop lied in his report about reading the suspect his Miranda rights.
