Tampa DUI Videos - Hillsborough County Sheriff Shuts Down Cameras



Video cameras in the Hillsborough County Jail have been shut down. The videos from the jail have been used to dismiss DUI charges and to file civil rights lawsuits charging excessive use of force. Florida DUI Checkpoint Results - 1000 Stops - Zero Arrests for DUI

Florida DUI Checkpoint Attorney LawyerA Florida DUI checkpoint nets 10 arrests. But, none of them were for DUI! The Florida Highway Patrol set up the checkpoint. There were actually 1,131 vehicles checked.

Here's the Tally:

Zero arrested for DUI
Two arrested on outstanding warrants.
Seven arrested on felony charges, including six on drug-related charges.
One arrested for misdemeanor drugs.

104 traffic citations issued.
10 faulty equipment warnings were issued.
10 warnings were issued.

Hillsborough County Florida DUI Patrol Schedule Online

For example the schedule indicated that last night, Friday, April 24th, 2009, there was a Check Point & Saturation patrol from 2200 hrs. - 0500 hrs. in District III that includes Western Hillsborough Co., the mobile (breath alcohol testing)BAT Unit and remote booking transport was available, the unit was stationed at Town & Country Elementary School at 6025 Hanley Road .
